A Roadworthy Certificate certifies whether a vehicle is fit and safe to be driven on the roads, and thus is helps to minimize the number of overall road accidents. Such a certificate of a vehicle’s roadworthiness is needed when you want to sell a car, get it re-registered or to get a clearance for the car to be free from any defects.
We are among the few VicRoads’ licensed vehicle testers who can issue Roadworthy Certificates in Victoria. For issuing the certificate, a thorough inspection of your vehicle is carried out as per the guidelines of VicRoads. The inspection checklist involves:
- Wheels and tyres
- Seats, seatbelts and airbags
- Brakes and suspension systems
- Windscreen, including wiper systems
- Indicator lights, warning lights and reflectors
- Vehicle structure including body, chassis and engine
It should be noted that for the purposes of re-registration or transfer, a roadworthy certificate should not have been obtained prior to 30 days for the application of such transfer or registration.
At Gardiners Garage, we assure you that our skilled technicians and experts will take you through the whole process from start to end and help you to make any certifications needed in your car in order to comply with all Government standards and guidelines before issuing a certificate, all within your timeframe.
